A New Life!

What an amazing (almost) first half of the year it's been! 2010 has definitely been much better than 2009 was. Goodness where to begin... Guess I will start off from the start of the year. Near the end of December I met an amazing girl, Ruth Recksiek. She has been my life this whole year so far. She is everything I've ever wanted in a girl and more. We have definitely had our ups and downs, but all in all, those moments have made us stronger than ever! I asked her to marry me April 3rd right after priesthood conference. I took her up behind the Bountiful Temple where there was a little trail leading to the top of a hill. It was evening time and the lights where on at the temple, and it was such a gorgeous clear evening, you could see out across the whole valley. It was a little cold standing atop the hill with the evening breeze, but she said yes, and it's been a wonderful journey ever since. You may have already guess, but we are getting married in the Bountiful Temple. It'll be August 14, 2010 @ 10:45am. I'm so excited! Life has never been better. We've found a place in Provo where we'll be staying for the next year or two til I finish school. So that's my life with Ruth in a nutshell so far.

I finally finished school this semester a few weeks ago. I graduated with an Associates in Information Systems/Technology. Granted it's only an Associates, but I feel so accomplished coming thus far. After having changed my major 4 times, it's about time I get something! I still have about 30% left of my school to get my bachelors, so probably within the next year and a half or so I will be finishing that up. I'm still working for the same company, but hope to get a better job here real soon making a lot more than I am now.

March was a terrible month for me. My crappy 2000 Dodge Intrepid finally gave out on me on a trip back from St. George, UT. I threw a rod 30 miles outside of town, the engine still ran but was very loud, and sounded like it would blow at any moment, but with many prayers and faith I stuck the car on cruise control at 55 mph and made it home. At that time I was in dyer need of a car and didn't know what to do. I couldn't get a thing out of my car because no one wanted it, but I eventually donated it, and got some tax write off for it. I decided to introduce myself into the leasing world of a new car. I was nervous upon doing so, but in the end was the best thing for me to do. I love my choice!! It's a 2010 Hyundai Elantra, best car I've ever had! It's been amazing driving around not having to worry about every little sound I hear in the car, wondering if it's going to be the last. Money has been tight since then, but it's part of life, its just nice not having to waste money at repair shops.

That's life for me at this point. Things still continue to get better for me day by day. I will probably update this thing a few more month down the road. I can't wait to get married and start my own family, it's something I've wanted for so long!!
